Heather C. Ogea acts as the CHRISTUS St. Patrick Foundation’s Executive Assistant – a position that puts a smile on her face every day!
Born and raised in Augusta, GA, Heather attended the number one academic public school in the state of Georgia. A fine arts magnet school, students were required to pass academic tests and showcase a talent to gain entry. Heather’s talents began in dance, theater, Audio Visual, chorus, and playing the violin, but began to narrow as she realized her true passion of acting on stage and in front of the camera.
Heather performed in many award-winning plays and musicals, even earning the coveted “All Outstanding” score from a panel of theater judges for her two contrasting monologues, done in front of an audience of nearly 300 people.
After receiving scholarships to many theater-based colleges, Heather decided to stay close to her roots and attend Augusta State University, focusing on Theater. It was during this time period that Heather became involved in local independent films, even playing the lead role of Willa in the beloved Civil War love story, “Perfect Disguise.”
After transferring to Louisiana State University, Heather met and later married Lake Charles native, Zachary. While living in Lake Charles, Heather began her professional career as News Producer and Director for FOX29 News Express, and was involved in bringing news back to this locally-owned FOX affiliate. Enjoying the hustle and bustle of a newsroom, Heather would later add reporting and anchoring on camera to her position at FOX.
While Zachary is pursuing his chemical engineering degree at McNeese State University, Heather happily spends her time working at the Foundation and playing with her dog, Bridget. She enjoys her daily mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
